The Darkhan-Selenge Electricity Distribution Network Joint Stock Company was first established in 1965 as the Darkhan-Selenge Power Line Network Agency.
Under the resolution #164 (2001) by the Government of Mongolia, it was reorganized into the Darkhan-Selenge Electricity Distribution Network Joint Stock Company. Under resolution #14 (2003) by the Government of Mongolia and resolution #454 (2003) by the State Property Committee, it was privatized by open selection and became a private company.
Pursuant to the Energy Law of Mongolia, the Darkhan-Selenge Electricity Distribution Network JSC supplies electricity to 60.000 customers on the territory of 74.000 km2 in 26 soums of Darkhan-Uul, Selenge, and Tuv provinces.
We operate with 445 employees in accordance to the following 9 licenses issued by the Ministry of Energy, Energy Regulatory Commission, and Standard Metrology Agency of Mongolia:
- Electricity distribution,
- Regulated electricity supply,
- Construction, repair and commissioning of power sources (5-100 MW)
- Construction and repair of power distribution networks and substations (4-220 kV)
- Test, adjustment, and installation of 1- or 3-phase-power meters
- Test and adjustment services /all kinds of 2nd commutation works and measurement, test, and configuration works/
- Feasibility studies and drawing of power sources (0.1-100 MW)
- Feasibility studies and drawing of power distribution networks and substations
- Other additional works and services /masonry, insulation, reinforcement and support manufacturing and supply/
- Construction of renewable energy sources
